INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL BOOK DESIGN
Saint Serif was appointed to design, develop and produce the prototype for a series of interactive childrens educational books. Based around three main characters, the books follow curriculum school topics through the primary 1-7 years, taking the reader on an adventure through different era’s in history and also planets and the solar system, with conundrum’s and code’s to crack as the reader progresses through the story.
The page background scenes and character illustrations were stock images which we manipulated to follow the narative, for the prototpye. The production design was based on a slightly smaller than A4 format with all pages encapsulated in a specially sourced wipe-clean laminate and wire ‘o’ bound. We devised the code-buster to be a separate feature that encourages the user to feel a real sense of interaction using this ‘tool’ and we used specially manufactured wax lace for attaching.
Our business approached Saint Serif with a specific, but very original design request and they quite honestly raised the bar when it came to standards. Their professionalism and quality of work was outstanding... they have an endless supply of ideas and designs. I simply would not go anywhere else for our design needs, as I know that Saint Serif will not only meet our required business needs, it will in fact, exceed them, every single time.
We devised and designed the Booksnoop logo for the umbrella publishing company, mindful that the core products of the business are for junior users in an educational capacity.
For Booksnoop we produced:
